29-05-2007   Unite our efforts against trafficking in human beings! From 5 to 9 July 2007 the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly will hold its sixteenth Annual Session in Kyiv

OSCEFrom 5 to 9 July 2007 the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly will hold its sixteenth Annual Session in Kyiv. Hosted by the Ukrainian parliament, the meeting will gather parliamentarians from the 56 OSCE participating States to discuss current events and consider regional security and human rights issues affecting the OSCE area.

The sixteenth Annual Session will focus on the theme of Implementation of OSCE Commitments, and the parliamentarians will consider resolutions addressing this issue. The Final Document, expected to be adopted on the last day of the meeting, will include recommendations to the OSCE and to participating States.

In accordance with the procedure of preparation and conducting the OSCE sessions the member of Ukrainian delegation of OSCE PA, Kateryna Levcheko, Member of Parliament, president of the International Women’s Rights Center “La Strada-Ukraine” submitted the draft of the Resolution on counteraction trafficking in people that was prepared in cooperation with “La Strada-Ukraine” Center and the International La Strada Association.
