24-12-2009   Round table on new challenges in child rights violation: child pornography was conducted in Ukraine

On December 19^th 2009, in Vinnitsa (Western Ukraine), International Women’s Rights Center “La Strada Ukraine” together with International organization “School of Equal opportunities” conducted the round table “New challenges in child rights violation: child pornography in Ukraine”. It was conducted in cooperation with Vinnitsa regional department of education within the project Follow-up Activities in Ukraine based on the research on Child Abuse Images through the Use of Information and Communication Technologies supported by ECPAT International. Results of the Regional Overview on Child Sexual Abuse Images through the Use of ICT in Belarus, Moldova, Russia and Ukraine, Internet hotline on counteraction of child pornography were presented there. Situation with child pornography in Vinnitsa region was also discussed on the round table.

Representatives of Criminal police for children, educational institutions, local authorities and NGOs participated in the round table.
